Quantum Dot Display, often referred to as QLED, is a display technology that employs quantum dots—tiny semiconductor particles—to improve the visual performance of screens. This technology enhances brightness, colour accuracy, and the overall viewing experience compared to traditional display methods.

How It Works

Quantum Dot Displays incorporate a layer of quantum dots that emit specific colours when illuminated by a light source, typically an LED backlight. These quantum dots are nanometer-sized particles that can be precisely tuned to emit narrow wavelengths of light, resulting in pure, vibrant colours. The backlight first illuminates the quantum dots, which then emit their respective colours, passing through a colour filter to produce the final image on the screen.
