How It Works

A data model establishes a set of rules and conventions for representing data, including the types of data, how data elements are connected, and constraints on data values. Data models can be visualised through diagrams such as Entity-Relationship diagrams or class diagrams, which help developers and analysts understand the data structure at a glance.
